Champagne Grapes + News!

Champagne Grapes

Confession: I have been known to squeal in delight when I see champagne grapes at the farmers market.  So what do I love so much about them?  I love their tiny-ness, their unbelievable sweetness, and their versatility. They are the smallest of the seedless grapes, so not only are they delightfully pretty, but they are delicious, too! Take a boring green salad, throw in a few of these beauties, and all of a sudden you’ve created something special and company-worthy.  Also for company, what dresses up a standard cheese platter like no other?  A nice wooden serving board, and these little dollies, of course!  Perhaps most importantly, their size makes them just perfect for drinks.  Drop a few into a beautiful glass of Prosecco, and you have quite the special celebratory drink in hand.

Well now, speaking of celebratory drinks and reasons to serve them — we have news . . . we’re engaged!  Jenn & Kurt were engaged on Martha’s Vineyard on Thursday night, and true to form, they celebrated with glasses of Prosecco, lobster bisque and lobster bruschetta!

So in the spirit of celebrating each and every day, pop open a bottle of your favorite sparkling wine, drop in a few little champagne grapes, and cheers to the good life!

I love itty-bitty grapes too! They’re so stinking cute!

And congrats on the engagement, that’s wonderful!

Congratulations! What a wonderful time it is, engagement. A mystery unto itself (no longer simply dating, not yet married…it has a life of its own!) No wonder you wrote about these magnificent grapes; they look like a celebration waiting to happen. (By the way, my husband puts grapes into chicken salad, and I’ve never known anything like it. Marvelous. Just sayin’.)

Anyway, I found you through TasteSpotting and am writing to say that if you have any photos that aren’t accepted there, I’d love to publish them. Visit my new site (below), it’s a lot of fun! I hope you will consider it.

Best,
