Over Memorial Day weekend we met some friends in Philly for a little getaway, where we had a fabulous dinner at Matyson. It’s BYOB, and our friends brought a fabulous bottle of wine that made me a tad enthusiastic, to say the least. By any means necessary, get your hands on a bottle of 2006 William Selyem Pinot Noir! I’m not normally a fan of Pinot Noir—I usually find them to be too light, too humble, too annoyingly lackluster—but no, not this one. This pinot is so complex and bright, and I wanted to steal the whole bottle for myself. I tell you — I just love having friends with such good taste!
